Q: How do I re-set my monitor?

To reset the monitors it is recommended that you reset the monitor as follows ;

  • Switch off both units at the wall and remove the batteries and leave for a few minutes.
  • Turn the baby unit back on and insert the batteries.
  • Wait for at least 4 minutes and then switch on the parent unit.
  • Once you have done this change the channels and make sure the units are not near anything such as a TV, computer or cordless phone.

Q: I am experiencing interference through the monitor, what can I do to eradicate this?

To try and prevent interference it is recommended that you reset the monitor as follows ; Make sure the units are not near anything such as a TV, computer or cordless phone. Switch off both units at the wall and remove the batteries and leave for a few minutes. Turn the baby unit back on and insert the batteries. Wait for at least 4 minutes and then switch on the parent unit. Once you have done this change the channels if needed. You should find that this will reconnect the units and should start working as normal.I can hear a howling noise through the parent unit.

This is acoustic feedback, turn the volume down on the parent unit. This could also happen if the parent and baby units are too close to each other.

Q: The red power light is not coming on?

Check the adapter is connected to the mains, and that the batteries are new.

Q: Why can I not hear my baby through the parent unit?

Check the volume setting, this can be found on the right hand side of the parent unit. Try turning the volume up.

Also check the distance between your baby and the parent unit, we recommend it to be no further than 1 metre away from your baby.

Q: Why has my monitor alarmed?

Your baby may have moved off the sensor pad, and was unable to pick up any movement. The monitor alarm will sound if it has not picked up any movement within the last 20 seconds.

This is a monitor not a medical device. If you are concerned about your baby’s health see medical advice.

The batteries are low. We do not recommend using rechargeable batteries.

Q: Why is the signal light flashing?

This is to let you know the parent unit is too far away from the baby unit and is out of range.

The batteries in the parent unit could be low. It could also be a form of interference. We recommend to turn off both units take out the batteries. Then switch both the units on at the mains. This will reset the unit. If the light is not longer flashing the batteries must have been low and will require replacements. Why is the temperature display not showing the correct temperature?

This is usually caused by interference. Try changing the channel on the baby unit and waiting a couple of minutes for the monitor to reset. If this does not solve the problem check the units are away from items such as TV, mobile and cordless telephones, computers and all major electrical goods. Switch off both the units at the mains and remove the batteries. Then switch both the units back on again. This will reset the unit.
