Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles are now BPA-free!

Look out for our new packs!

Tommee Tippee Closer to Nature bottles are now available in a new BPA free material.

In response to public demand, Tommee Tippee has made the move to a new softer material for bottles to give parents the total reassurance they’d expect from the UK’s leading brand.

In the wake of  various reports linking bisphenol A – present in miniscule amounts in polycarbonate plastic feeding bottles – with certain health conditions in adults, Tommee Tippee has introduced the new bottles to make life even easier for parents.

While the Department of Health and the Food Standards Agency insist there remains no scientific evidence that polycarbonate bottles carry any risks – provided they are used according to the feeding guidelines – Tommee Tippee has decided to make Closer to Nature our first BPA-free range.

To mark the change, we’ve put Closer to Nature in dramatic new packaging in deep grey, silver and apricot with an embossed new ‘star’ logo and a high-glass finish on many packs for instant stand-out

And while we’ve got new BPA free bottles, new logo and new packaging, one thing hasn’t changed … the brilliance of the bottle and teat, specially designed to make it easier to combine breast and bottle feeding.

The Closer to Nature teat with its unique flex and stretch to mimic mum’s breast during breastfeeding means that baby can go from breast to bottle and back again to the breast without trauma, fuss or anxiety, making it the perfect choice for mothers returning to work, going out for the day or simply allowing dads to do their bit!

We know from your letters that Closer to Nature has made all the difference to the feeding experience.

And within days of our new bottles going on sale, we’ve already chalked up a Best Buy from one of our favourite magazines. Practical Parenting magazine (March 09) awards us top marks for ease of use, durability, ease of cleaning, and ease of holding. Click here to read what the tester said.
