Always take a selection of your baby’s favourite toys with you. It is a good ideas to take a few new toys which you can produce as a surprise if she starts to get restless.
Think which toys will hold your baby’s attention for the longest time, and take them. For example, toys with lots of moving parts or which make noises.
Fix toys to the car seat so they don’t get dropped on the floor – but remember never to use a cord or string longer than 30cms (12 inches) to prevent the risk of strangulation.
Take regular breaks while travelling so you can feed and change your baby and keep her as comfortable as possible.
Beach holidays are great for babies and small children, where they play happily in the sand for hours.
