The teats are made from silicone and due to the nature of the material it can knit back together. Open the valve by pinching it between your finger and thumb. This allows the air to flow through the bottle and prevent the teat collapsing.
Also your baby may want more milk than they are able to get. Try either a variflow teat or the next stage teat.
